Theatrical Arts

Week 7: July 24th - 27th 

A week-long theatre intensive, focusing on just a few of the many aspects within the world of stage and movies. This workshop will be focused on special effects makeup, an introduction to costuming and stage design, mask making and some exploration of performance and improv.  

Drawing & Illustration 

Week 1: June 5th-8th

Week 8: July 31st- August 3rd

This workshop is for all levels. Students will be focusing on illustration techniques, line quality and the basic elements of composition and value. This workshop will also focus on light, color and observational skills.


Week 5: July 10th - 13th

In this workshop students will be learning about monoprinting and rubbercuts. Each student will have a chance to create his or her own design and will print upon a variety of materials. Book making is also a staple of this week, students will learn a variety of binding techniques and will leave with their own hand-bound book. 


Week 4: June 26th - 29th

One of our favorite workshops! During this week students will be working with paper mache, plastic, foam and other alternative sculpture materials. Students will develop non-traditional techniques while learning about form, composition and negative space.


One of our favorite workshops! Students will be dealing with Paper Mache, plastic wrap, and other alternative materials and techniques. Students will use non-traditional materials to formulate their own free form abstract sculpture.

Mixed Media 

Week 3: June 19th - 22nd

In this week, students will be taught necessary techniques on combining different mediums. We will be working with an array of materials and there will be a large focus on composition and planning of work. Some techniques we will be working on in this workshop include collage, transfers, glazes and much more!​


Week 2: June 12th-15th

During this week, students will be studying portraiture and still life while mastering traditional and modern painting styles. A focus on line quality, composition and color relationships will be taught within this workshop. Students will be working with watercolor, acrylic and ink amongst other mediums. 

 Sewing & Design

Week 6: July 17th - 20th

This workshop is like no other! Students will learn patternmaking, stitching, textile design, and sewing. This workshop will reflect the history of fashion as well as introducing color and the foundation of creating objects from scratch. Students will learn how to use a sewing machine as well as developing hand stitching techniques.
