Build! Make! Do!

8/28/2009 - 9/27/2009

Build! Make! Do! was a different kind of art show,  with a hands-on opening, at which all the work for the exhibition was created, including a giant inflatable sculpture made from trash bags.

Over 70 artists, K-12 participating!

Here's what one student had to say about the hands-on opening:

“ First of all, there were so many people there, my mom even saw her teacher!

When I got my cardboard, my title was’ Outrageous’.

I did something that no one had ever seen in the world!

The oil pastels were fun but messy, my hands were black when I was done.

I felt ecstatic when I saw them up on the wall together!

When I looked around, I saw the foam people by the middle school kids

and they were crazy and unique. They made me want to try that too!

It makes me feel great and a little nervous to have my work in Cityplace at EG2!”
